Hello from Nokomis, MN

This year, I have started a photography business called, Delaney Jean Photography! After 8 plus years of taking photos, it was time that I made it official. When I am taking photos, there are three things I desire for the session: it’s a comfortable space for you, it’s fun, and to give you quality images to look back on. Here is the story:

After graduation, I went into education. I completely enjoyed the people I worked with and unfortunately got burnt out as an educator. I took the a few months to regroup and then BOOM, it hit! "I want to do photography!"

I had been doing photography since I was 16 years old. I took classes in high school, I would go to styled shoots with professional photographers, and even model for some shoots. After this, I decided to take my photography on the road and was able to shoot some incredible architecture and nature in Europe. Coming back to the states, I set my photography down for a few years as I completed my degrees (and a minor in art! hehe.)

When a friend asked me to second shoot with her in college, it rekindled the creative itch for this medium. I continued to second shoot with multiple photography friends for a few years. And when the time came to switch careers, photography was right in front of me. Now, I am a full time photographer!
